Schools visiting the Park
March 9th 2012- The park was visited by pupils from Brynhyfryd School, who continued with the planting of the saplings from the Woodland Trust. Both schools worked very hard and managed to plant the majority of trees
February 23rd 2012-Bishop Vaughan School visited the park and in very inclement weather helped plant some of the 420 saplings acquired from the Woodland Trust as part of the Queens Diamond Jubilee. It is our desire to encourage groups of pupils and staff to attend the park for various events as well as to enjoy the facilities currently being developed, these include:
Construction of the Boardwalk underway from September 2009, is now complete.
We believe that it is important to encourage children into the park to improve their education/knowledge of the environment as well as to enjoy the facilities available.
During the summer months we contacted local schools to advise them of the new facilities and to guage the levels of interest from pupils, teachers etc. Subsequently, we have had visits from local schools. If any schools would like assistance with visits, please advise us via the contact us section as toilet facilities can be arranged if advance notice is given. If you would like to set up a link to this website so that you can give your views and ideas for the park please let us know as we will delighted to hear from you..
Also, if you would like to arrange a visit or organise an event we would be delighted to help you. Just drop us an email.
